Hey, asshole! I literally have a blog devoted to you!
In case this isn’t obvious to everyone, protesters like my friend @mary_menville did not want to get arrested. They wanted to peacefully exercise their 1st Amendment rights to freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. They wanted to protect those freedoms SO MUCH that they were willing to be attacked and arrested. Even if you don’t believe in the Occupy movement, please consider that freedom of speech and freedom of assembly (and freedom of the press, also compromised by LAPD last night) are NECESSARY if you ever want to speak out about whatever you do believe in.
And please consider donating to the bail fund for my friend and the 291 others who were arrested for demonstrating peacefully.
